Since 2009, Ohio had successful clean and efficient energy standards that saved residents and businesses over $1 billion.
At the insistence of FirstEnergy and other utilities, our politicians froze these standards in 2014 to “study the problem.”
On September 30, 2015 a committee made up of Ohio legislators recommended an “indefinite freeze” of the renewable and efficiency standards, which would effectively kill the popular program altogether.
Governor Kasich must oppose this indefinite clean energy freeze and help us get back on track with our clean and efficient energy standards.
